ASHLEY GILLETTE

Hi! I am Ashley Gillette! I am a senior at Olathe Northwest Highschool. Here we have an amazing e-Communications program where students can take part in learning graphic design, video production, web design, and animation. I am focusing on the video production side, specifically the convergence and sports information directors part. However, I learned graphic design as a part of my sophomore e-Communication course, and occasionally do client work for graphic design.For the past two years in my SID class, I have been focusing on learning to write written news stories and how to produce them, live broadcasting sports events, and learning both the on camera and off camera part of production (anchoring, floor directing, producing, trickster, teleprompter, etc)! Besides being a part of the e-Communications program in school, I am involved in Raven Flight Crew, National Honor Society, and Rho Kappa National Honor Society. This fall, I will be heading to the University of Kansas where I will be taking my skills learned in the e-Comm program to major in elementary education and minoring in multimedia journalism!
